About this website
There is little doubt that Covid has changed almost every life on our planet. Whilst health care professionals are waging war on behalf of our physical health, technology experts are changing the way we communicate. Happily, this is turning into a positive. It has allowed us to combine Blogs and Podcasts so that we can share our thoughts via digital media almost immediately, hence PodBlogs.
And as you learn about us – we hope you will allow us to know a little about YOU. So please, share your thoughts on our Comments page. But please – play nice.
About Me
My Sanctuary and OutDoor Office
It is difficult to prioritize information about yourself in these new and strange times. Years ago, if going for an employment interview you would automatically be expected to fill out a form giving Gender, Age, Nationality, Location of Birth, Medical History, Marital Status and Religion. Nowadays all of that is considered of no consequence and indeed illegal to enquire. It doesn’t leave much, does it?
Suffice to say I am a Senior Citizen, born in the U.K. traveled the world with my family for a few decades, and finally landed up in Australia. I’m an environmentalist from way back and think Mother Nature is about the only thing to which I would attach the word ‘Awesome”. I have enjoyed the luxury of following many diverse career paths. I love all forms of music, literature and drama, in many capacities, which in turn has led me to the world of audio drama* and podcasting. To find out more about me I invite you to visit this website regularly and then make up your own mind.
In this strange year of 2020, Alexander Graham Bell’s crude but effective telephone communication of 1876 has been extended into a multitude of digital platforms. The globe has shrunk to the size of a hyperlink, connecting us with each other all over the world, so there is little excuse to feel alone or uninformed.
PodBlogs
Here at G’Day from Oz we invite you to join us weekly as we reach out to our multicultural friends overseas and say, not only “Hi” and “How are you going?”* but take the opportunity to glimpse a little of their lives and maybe share their interests.
